(Marketwire) -- IBM has added support for German, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese to its Entity Analytics suite (EAS) of threat and fraud detection products. This, in order to provide better support for countries Europe and Latin America. EAS uses patented technology to mine information repositories to uncover potential acts of fraud. These products are used for homeland security, regulatory compliance, law enforcement and anti-money laundering.
Earlier this year, IBM further bolstered its position as the leader in international fraud detection by acquiring Language Analysis Systems, a developer of multi-cultural name recognition software. This software can help identify and detect criminals by analyzing various data including the origin of the name, cultural variation and its meaning.

Ingenico, a leading supplier of electronic payment terminals, announced a new DLC (Dynamic Language Conversion) technology that allows clients and shopkeepers from all the world to handle financial transactions in their own language. The DLC technology stores data on the customer's card that identifies his/her country of origin and his/her language. All messages and help data are displayed automatically on the terminal screen.
