Computerworld--Dopod International, a mobile communications company that integrates mobile communication with information system technologies, has announced that Dopod users can now talk, send emails and even write digital letters in both English and Chinese by downloading Mobem CE-Star Suite Version 2.8 Chinese Language Kits into their Dopod devices.
The software is available for free download at http://www.dopodasia.com. The CE-Star Suite 2.8 is the first and only true Chinese enabler software suite for Windows Mobile 5.0-based devices, integrating Chinese enabler, handwriting recognition and dictionary. Words can be recognised in eight different ways, including: Hanyu Pinyin, Chajei, Phonetic, quick
Chajei, Cantonese, Dayi, Array and Wubi. Besides supporting simplified and traditional Chinese characters, the software suite also has the ability to display Japanese text.
