Have you ever heard a Brit say something you can not understand? Well now you can look it up by going to http://www.bbcamerica.com/britain/dictionary.jsp. The easy-to-use online dictionary allows you to look up words used in the different regions of the UK including England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. One example from the dictionary: blimey, exclam. mile expletive. (Blimey, mate. You took a chance there).

When the creators of the country-sponsored Australian tourism campaign tried to translate their "So, where the bloody hell are you?" slogan into Japanese, they realized that they had a problem. Cursing is unheard of in Japan. The Japanese are so polite, supermarket cashiers bow to customers and airport baggage handlers assemble to bow to arriving planes.
The slogan at the center of the $21 million campaign was eventually retranslated to a much less catchy but much more politically correct Japanese equivalent of "So, why don't you come?"
