At Global Translations we use a proven work process which is designed to ensure high quality, accurate delivery of translated documents.
After a job request is initiated by the customer, the translation files can be sent to Global Translations by e-mail, courier or uploaded on our secure FTP site. The job request will include the target languages and the time schedule for the project.
The project is then assigned to a Global Translations Project Manager who will select a
team of linguists and will monitor the project to its completion, ensuring the timetable and quality
standards set with the customer. Click here for a description of our translation quality process.
When large projects require several translators working at the same time, a glossary and style guide
are prepared at the onset of the project and sent to the client for approval. Once approved, all
translators work using the same conventions, ensuring a consistent use of terminology and writing
style. TM tools are always used in large projects, providing an additional level of quality assurance.
Should the translator(s) have questions/queries about the translation, the PM will get the answers from the designated contact person of the customer and relay the information to the translator(s)
After the translations are completed and edited, the documents are sent to a DTP person for final layout, print check and PDF creation.
